User Account Deletion Policy

How to delete a Vertex CRM user account, what happens to organization CRM data, and how Meta app removal interacts.

Reviewed August 2026

1. Scope

This User Account Deletion Policy explains how Vertex CRM user accounts (logins) are deactivated or deleted. It complements the Data Deletion Policy (which also covers Meta callbacks and organization-level deletion).

2. Who can request account deletion

  • End user: may request that their login be deactivated/deleted by contacting their organization administrator, or via Contact if they are the sole admin.
  • Organization administrator: may deactivate users in Setup / user administration (where permitted by role).
  • Organization owner / contractual contact: may request full workspace deletion.

3. How to delete your user account

  1. Ask your Vertex CRM organization admin to deactivate or remove your user.
  2. If you cannot reach an admin, submit a request at /contact with your username, organization name, and proof you control the email on the account.
  3. We verify authority, then deactivate the login (block authentication) and, on confirmed deletion requests, remove or anonymize account profile fields we control.

4. What happens to CRM records you created

Leads, contacts, notes, and other business records typically belong to the organization (Controller), not the individual user. Deleting a user login does not automatically delete organization CRM data. Organization admins manage those records, or the organization may request workspace deletion.

5. Meta-connected users

If you authorized Meta while signed into Facebook, you may also remove the app under Facebook → Settings → Apps and websites. That triggers our Meta data-deletion callback for tokens tied to your Facebook user id. Details: /data-deletion.

6. Timelines

Admin deactivation is typically immediate. Processor-assisted deletion requests are acknowledged promptly and completed within a reasonable period (target 30 days), subject to identity verification and legal retention (security logs, invoices).
